Barcelona tickets: how to buy safely as a tourist
What a visiting fan needs to know to see Barça at Camp Nou, from the official sale to resale with a guarantee.

1. Start with the official sale
Barça sells through its official site (fcbarcelona.com), the Camp Nou ticket offices and the club's official stores in Barcelona. That is face value and the safest route.
Tickets are released gradually as members give back seats they will not use. Picking an exact seat is often only possible 1 to 2 weeks before the game.
For El Clásico and big Champions League nights, the official sale is short and sells out fast. Waiting is risky.
2. The date is set late
In La Liga, match day and kick-off are confirmed 10 to 15 days ahead; until then the date is provisional.
In the Champions League, date and time come with the draw. Book flights and hotels with a spare night, or with changeable fares.
3. Tickets are issued by name
Barça tickets are named and seats are allocated. A few days before the game, the club emails asking for each fan's details.
ID is checked at the gate: bring your passport. Mobile tickets are accepted, but the club advises printing them.
4. Cards and payment
Foreign cards are sometimes declined on the club's site. Tell your bank before you buy and keep a second card handy.
You pay in euros, and your card may add a foreign transaction fee. Compare the final price with all fees.
5. Champions League: UEFA's rule
UEFA limits away fans from buying home-section seats. Paying with a card from the away team's country can block the purchase, which matters for English fans at Barça vs Manchester City.
The away section is sold by the visiting club to its own members.
6. When the official sale is over: resale with a guarantee
Resale marketplaces have seats after the official sale sells out, at prices that follow demand and often exceed face value.
Buy only from an identified company with published terms, a delivery guarantee and an emergency line. SportsEvents365, our partner (Sports Events 365 Ltd.), is one.
On resale, the ticket may carry someone else's name. A serious seller explains in advance what to show at the gate.
7. On match day
Metro L3 (Palau Reial or Les Corts) or L5 (Collblanc or Badal). Buy your return ticket before the game to skip the queue.
Gates open about 1h30 before kick-off. For El Clásico, allow 2 hours: security is slow.
Carry a small bag. Bottles with caps and alcohol are refused.
